On 13th July, Emma from Blue Barrel Cider will be joining the fabulous Debbie Clarke and Amy Phipps from the Women Who Create UK Podcast where they will be talking about the story of Blue Barrel Cider, how it all began and sharing their exciting plans for the future. They will also be discussing the exciting rise of the British cider scene, its’ heritage and crucial role in preserving British conservation, the vast range of ciders & styles available and the innovation & techniques which make it as diverse and complex as its’ wine cousins.

Blue Barrel – Colwick Perry (500ml)
Award winning, fruity tannic perry with a lasting gentle astringency. Whole juice, wild yeast and naturally fermented. No concentrates, artificial sweeteners or flavouring. Varieties: Thorn, Brandy, Wild Pears. Medium sweet still perry. 6.5%
Blue Barrel – Smokin’ barrels (500ml)
We mature our cider in malt whiskey casks to create a charismatic cider with a complex caramel oak finish. Whole juice, wild yeast and naturally fermented. No concentrates, artificial sweeteners or flavouring. Varieties: Black Dabinett, Michelin, Scrumped Desserts. Medium dry, still cider. 6.5%
Once Upon a Tree – Bacchus (750ml)
Co-fermented Cider / Wine Lees Cider. Dabinett and dessert apple Cider fermented with Bacchus wine yeast lees and aged for 9 months. Pours a bright pale gold with delicate petillance / spritz observable in the glass. Nose – beautiful complex, perfumed aromatics with elderflower & hay giving way to a gentle hazelnut, lemon and apricot aromas. Palate – initially lemon zest and crisp apple, but develops bready notes with a gentle creamy fizz. A clean yet lingering finish with a hint of dried apricot. 7%.
Ross on Wye – Dabinett (500ml)
Likely the most important cider apple. Very widely grown, Dabinett is a classic bittersweet with a rich, vanilla creaminess that melds perfectly with everything we love about traditional English cider: tannin, complexity, body. 6.8%
Artistraw – Kingston Black (375ml)
A single variety Kingston black made from apples gathered from three different traditional standard orchards from three valleys; the Grey, the Golden and the Wye valleys; all magical orchards in their own right and havens for wildlife and biodiversity. This cider reflects the terroir of the Marches, crisp acidity giving way to the phenolic tannins associated with the Kingston Black apples. 6%
