Description
Sat around a campfire in the beautiful old orchard at Ross Cider one evening in the Summer of 2021, our friend and fellow cidermaker Albert suddenly proclaimed a startling fact. Michelin, the widely planted, famous cider apple, was not in fact Michelin.
The apple we all knew and loved had been wrongly named ever since it was brought to these shores from France by the pomologist Henri Michelin in 1883. It turns out that this gentleman’s name had stuck and the apple’s true name was forgotten until recent DNA testing uncovered the mistake! So may we present to you, in its true form, Bisquet, the apple formerly known as Michelin! 750ml. 5.8%.
