The planting of a perry pear tree is a gift for future generations. These amazing trees will continue to produce bountiful fruit for centuries, whilst supporting a wealth of biodiversity from the tip of their roots to the apex of their leafy crown. Unique to only a few regions on the planet, these now rare trees need protecting and nurturing at all costs. This bottle is dedicated to the memory of two such beautiful trees recently lost in Much Dewchurch, Herefordshire.
Herbaceous with light acidity, this wine like perry brings to mind morning sunlight dappled through lofty branches onto grass sweet with dew. Pair with charcuterie and green olives marinated in lemon and thyme. 750ml. 6.3%.
