Description
This cider is 100% Dabinett (from 2019) fermented and aged in an ex-red wine barrel. The result is well-rounded, mature and complex. A little like our grandfather Francis Cook, affectionately known as Franko. 7.8% abv & 750ml.
How to serve: very lightly chilled
On the nose: citrus orange flesh, vanilla and five spice, along with sandalwood, leather and wooden press racks.
The taste: juicy and dry, ripe red apples and orange squash. This is typical Dabinett with all it’s orange flesh, vanilla and spice coupled with the influence of the red wine barrel which has elevated all the elements as well as added some extra red fruit bitter tannins. A little flourish of acidity is quickly expelled by a long dry finish with a chalky texture. 750ml. 7.8%.
