Description
This was our first time working with Browns and Tremletts. Tremletts being a variety with a lot of tannin originating from Devon, and Browns being a variety known as bittersharp that has a great acidity. The blend was based on earlier
ripening varieties and as a result the ambient temperature during fermentation was higher and so the fermentation was faster, which proved tricky to manage. The result is a drier cider than 2021, with fine bubbles, a generous amount of tannin, a nice hint of bitterness carried by it’s refreshing acidity. 750ml. 6.5%.
VARIETIES: 50% Tremletts Bitter, 30% Browns, 10% Harry Masters Jersey, 10% Michelin and Improved Dove.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 8°C – 12°C. Chilled, not ice cold.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Enjoyable as an aperitif, but equally good as an accompaniment to food. Think grilled vegetables and fatty meats, charcuterie, cheese and with any deep fried food.
