Hagloe Crab is an old variety hailing just a dozen miles from our farm, dating back to the 1720s. Our trees are reaching early maturity and produced their biggest harvest ever in 2023. Hagloe makes a cider that is full of lemony, melony acidity with a smooth, light finish. To find complexity in this wonderful variety, we blended the mature 2022 vintage with our young 2023 Hagloe, as well as fermented a third of the blend in a fabulous oak cask, giving us our most fascinating, and definitely most drinkable, Hagloe Crab to date.
