Perry Pear trees are uncommon in Devon; just 200 bottles of this beautifully juicy, sherberty perry were made from four trees of the Blakeney Red & Butt varieties, found growing in a traditional orchard makers Polly & Mat foster in Brampford Speke.
A spontaneous fermentation ensued, before being racked in the early stages of fermentation to retain residual sugar. Then like their Pet Nat, they bottled the juice before the fermentation had finished to capture a natural sparkle. They then riddled & disgorged each bottle by hand for perfect clarity, & no sugar or sulphite were added. Oozing elegant notes of kiwi fruit, sherbet, fresh perry pear. Naturally sparkling, medium. 750ml. 4%.
