Made from the fruit of apples we propagated 15 years ago for our friends on Longhill, now the fruit of our combined labours has come back Prospect. The orchard is a mix of mild bittersweets, cookers and dessert fruit, and at similar altitude to Prospect Orchard, but on the other side of the valley.
This is a dryer version of the Sweet Longhill that we released last year.
A beautiful deep orange, marmalade colour, off dry cider. On the nose there are notes of almond, fruitcake and baked apples. Big, mouth filling tannins followed by notes of sweet cherry. A big, intense cider that reflects the wild orchard and the fruit foraged from the undergrowth of thistles and nettles. 750ml. 6.4%.
